Construction permits have been issued for a two-story residential building at 2811 W Jackson Boulevard in East Garfield Park.

The developer, listed under Rene Villareal, is planning three units for the building, a rear wooden porch, and a six-foot-high fence. The development will also accommodate three parking spaces behind the main structure.

Andrew Lipowski of Design Synergies Ltd. is the architect of record. No renderings of the design have yet been released.

Just north of the site across W Jackson Boulevard is also Deborah’s Place, a social services organization, as well as John Calhoun North School. Bus access includes adjacent stops for routes 94 and 126 at the California & Jackson intersection. CTA L access for the Blue Line includes a 14-minute walk southwest to Kedzie-Homan station, as well as a 14-minute walk east to Western station. Meanwhile, Green Line access includes a 10-minute walk north to California station.

Recreational spaces nearby include the family-friendly Park 574, a seven-minute walk east from the property. Johnny’s Ice House, an ice rink and practice venue for the Blackhawks, is a 12-minute walk northeast.

Revival Home Remodeling LLC is serving as the general contractor for the $225,000 project. A completion date has not yet been announced.
