Permits have been approved for a residential building at 4054 S Indiana Avenue in Bronzeville. The site is located on a larger lot by the corner of S Indiana Avenue and E 41st Street.

Nearby bus transit includes route 39’s Indiana & 41st Street stop just across the street. CTA L access consists of Indiana Station on the Green Line, less than a two-minute walk north. Additional points of interest in the area include Anderson (Louis) Park to the north and a Mariano’s to the northwest.
The owner, Pamela McCarthy, is planning six units for the address, with the number of floors not yet indicated. Given the site’s larger footprint, the number of levels will likely hover between two and three. Michael T. Ryan of Michael Ryan Architects is the architect of record, and MC Construction, LLC is the general contractor for the project expected to cost $200,000.
Near identical permits were also issued a month earlier for a six-unit building at 4050 S Indiana Avenue, indicating the possibility of two similar buildings planned for the lot. The key difference from the earlier permits is the inclusion of a metal fence and six parking spaces.
A completion date for the development has not been announced.
