Permits were recently filed for a three-story residential building in Kilbourn Park, on the corner of W Melrose Street and N Keeler Avenue. The development will include nine units across the three floors, as well as a nine-car garage.
The developer is listed under Noah Properties LLC, and the architect of record is Jonathan Splitt of jSa. The two parties also partnered up to develop and design 3202 N Kildare Avenue, a residential project in the same neighborhood. It appears both addresses are part of a larger development that includes a long stretch of townhomes lining W Belmont Avenue.
Nearby bus access includes route 77’s Belmont & Keeler stop just one block south, and the nearest CTA L station is a 22-minute walk west to Belmont station, serviced by the Blue Line. Other notable nearby points of interest include a three-minute walk north to Jonathan Y Scammon Elementary School and a 10-minute walk northwest to the Kilbourn Park.
Splitt’s design consists of a light-colored brick facade with an even grid of both large and small windows. Near identical to that of 3202 N Kildare Avenue, the structure culminates in a flat parapet with what appears to be a green roof.
An expected completion date is not currently known, but construction is likely soon to follow.
