Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 3312 N Halsted Street in Lakeview East, Chicago, on the edge of the Boystown neighborhood. The interior lot is located between W Buckingham Place and W Aldine Avenue. The nearest public transportation is the 8 CTA bus accessed at the Halsted and Aldine stop at the end of the block. Less than a ten-minute walk is the Belmont CTA “L” station serviced by the Red, Brown, and Purple Lines. The site is also one block east of N Clark Street, a busy commercial and retail corridor, and a 15-minute walk from Belmont Harbor along the lakeshore. Brad Gold is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The building will have seven residential units and a retail component on the ground floor. Two unenclosed parking spaces will be included at grade. The height and square footage of the project is currently unknown.

Jay M. Keller of Area 39 Architects is listed as the architect of record. Kiferbaum Development LLC is listed as the general contractor.

Demolition permits were filed in May 2020 to remove the existing two-story frame residence and detached garage. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
