A demolition permit has been issued for a two-story, masonry building at 1402 S Western Avenue in the Near West Side neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as 1860 N Elston LLC. As of the time of this writing, no plans appear to have been submitted to upgrade any of the zoning designations for this property and there are currently no plans for any future construction.

Located along W Howard Street, the development is near restaurants and shops as well as several buses, including Routes 97, 206, and 215, which connect to the Howard CTA L station, serviced by the Purple, Yellow, and Red Lines. Evergreen Real Estate Group and CJE SeniorLife are in charge of the development.
