Construction permits have been issued for a single-story Starbucks set to occupy a currently vacant lot at 4200 S Pulaski Road in Archer Heights. Co-planned by Pulaski Promenade LLC and Pine Tree Commercial Real Estate, the building will include a vestibule and drive-through, a parking lot with 32 spots and 12 bike spaces, and extensive new landscaping. The project is an addition to a mall area that was built in 2015.
Jeffrey Brownell of PFDA Architects is the architect of record. Planning documents show the design will be primarily masonry, with additional wood paneling, stucco top, and a glass retail storefront.
In addition to the on-site parking and additional parking spaces in the surrounding parking lot area, various other transportation options can be found nearby. Nearest bus transit can be found for Route 53A, with stops located along the adjacent Pulaski & 42nd Place intersection. Stops for Route 47 are also within walking distance, an 18-minute walk south to 47th Street & Pulaski. Those wishing to board the CTA L will also find nearest access for the Orange Line via a 26-minute walk south to Pulaski station.
A host of other retail options can be found in the bordering mall area, including a Marshalls, PetSmart, AT&T, and Michaels.
DeLauter Development LLC is the general contractor for the $825,000 project. A full construction timeline is not yet known.
