A new two-story, two-unit home is being built at 3354 South Wallace Street in Bridgeport. It takes the place of an empty parcel on this busy residential side street on Chicago’s South Side. The permit was issued by the City of Chicago on February 24 of this year.
Gulam Kamal is named as the architect of record, with Time Development carrying out the contracting duties. The only architectural detail mentioned is a detached two-car garage at the rear of the property.
Residents of 3354 South Wallace will live within a one-block walk from the Route 35 bus south at 35th Street, while the Route 44 bus stops only a few doors down. For north-south travel, the Route 8 bus has stops four blocks east at Halsted Street. The 35 bus can be used to connect with the Sox-35th Red Line platform about three-quarters of a mile east, at the Dan Ryan Expressway.
