The City of Chicago has issued a permit for the construction of a new 2-story, 2-unit residential building at 6511 South Langley Avenue in Woodlawn. The wood-framed structure will include a basement, an open rear wood deck, and a detached 2-car frame garage.
The owner and developer of the project is Ed Vaslie. Charles Schwartz of Chicago is the architect. The reported construction cost of the project is $400,000.
To date, $450 in permit fees have been paid, with $4,116 still outstanding for a total permit cost of $4,566. Fees paid include $300 for building permit and $150 for zoning review. Remaining unpaid fees are $2,550 building permit fee, $0 zoning, and $1,566 in other fees.
