The City of Chicago has issued a permit for new construction at 2718 North Racine Avenue in Wrightwood Neighbors. The permit was issued on September 20, taking 22 days to process.
The project involves constructing a new 3-story, 3-unit residential building with a basement, rooftop deck, rear terrace, balconies, and a detached 3-car garage. The building will feature a rear patio at the 1st story, front balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and a rear stair. Plans were designed by John Hanna.
Fees for the permit total $5,916, with $1,800 paid so far and $4,116 still outstanding. This includes $2,850 in building fees, $1,500 in zoning fees, and $1,566 in other fees. The reported cost of construction is $1,197,720.
When complete, transit nearby the property will include the Brown and Purple Lines.
