Construction is underway on an eight-story, 77-unit residential building at 5035 N Sheridan Road in Uptown. Issued in September of last year, the construction permit from the City of Chicago also calls for a single retail space on the ground floor. According to plans approved by the Chicago Plan Commission in August of last year, there will be 39 parking spaces for cars and 77 spaces for bicycles.
DLG Management is both developer and general contractor for 5035 North Sheridan, which has been permitted using the address of 952 West Carmen Avenue. DLG brings to fruition a building designed by Jonathan Splitt Architects. A single-story commercial building was demolished last year to make way for the development.
Once completed, residents of 5035 North Sheridan will be within one block of stops for the Route 151 CTA bus. Within a two-block walk will be stops for Routes 92, 136, 146, 147, and 148. The Argyle Red Line platform is a four-block walk to the southwest.
