A permit for renovation and alteration has been issued for an existing two-story, two-unit residential building located at 3532 West Van Buren Street in East Garfield Park. The permit, which was applied for on July 9 and issued on July 22, allows for interior remodeling and violation remediation of the masonry building.
The building has a height of 30 feet and will be self-certified by architect Samuel Pavlovcik. The total fee for the project permit is $839.75, with $764.75 paid towards building fees and $75 towards zoning fees. The reported cost of the project is $100,000.
3532 West Van Buren Street is located a short walk from the Kedzie-Homan CTA Station which services the Blue Line.

I’m glad to see more investment in Garfield Park. It seems the neighborhood hasn’t benefit from investment as much as other south and west side neighborhoods.
