Construction permits have been issued for a residential building located at 6403 S Rhodes Avenue in West Woodlawn.
Given the larger size of the lot and the two unit count, it is unclear if the building’s footprint will only occupy a portion of its area. The parcel owned by Garret Glaser is zoned for RT-4, which permits a 1.2 floor area ratio so that the total floor area may be up to 1.2 times that of the total property.
Negin Beyhaghi is the listed architect of record. No renderings or drawings have been revealed, and it is unknown if the structure will be frame or masonry.
Nearest bus transit includes a three-minute walk north to 63rd & Rhodes, with east and westbound stops for Routes 4 and 63. Additional transit for the north and southbound Route 3 is accessible via a four-minute walk west. CTA L service in the near vicinity comprises of the Green Line’s King Drive station, a seven-minute walk northwest.
Residents wishing to access the 346-acre Washington Park will find its southern edge via an 11-minute walk north.
Townes Glaser Development, LLC is serving as general contractor for the $400,000 project. No completion date has yet been listed.
