A conditional permit has been issued for a three-story residential project to be located at 1757 W Le Moyne Street in Wicker Park. This new four-unit development by Whittemore Properties LLC will replace two frame residences under the addresses 1459 and 1461 N Wood Street.
Hanna Architects is behind the design, which will come with a rooftop deck, first- and second-floor decks, and four total parking spaces housed within two garages. Drawings and renderings are not yet available.
Bus transit in the vicinity includes Routes 9, X9, 50, 56, and 72 all within a 10-minute walk. Meanwhile, the CTA Blue Line can be found at Damen Station, a 10-minute walk northwest.
Buckley Builders Inc. will be the general contractor for the reportedly $1,710,000 construction. The wrecking permits for the existing structures are still pending, and a full timeline has not yet been revealed.

I think there’s a typo, it’s somehow both a 4 and 3 story building and no unit count
Hi Josh, there was indeed a typo, this will be three stories and four units. Article has been updated
I believe two existing buildings are slated to be redevloped, can YIMBY confirm?
Yes that is correct. The footprint of the new building will in fact occupy both 1459 and 1461 N Wood Street
