The Saint Grand, a 22-story mixed-use development at 218 E Grand Avenue in Streeterville, has officially topped out. This new 238-foot building by Mavrek Development, GW Properties, Luxury Living, and Double Eagle Development will feature 248 apartment units, 45,000 square feet of office space, and 7,500 square feet of retail space.
The upper two floors of the podium are designated for Class A office spaces designed by Harken Interiors. The top level of the podium includes amenities such as an outdoor yoga studio, a lounge area, a fitness center, and a co-working space. The residential tower segment offers a range of studios to two-bedrooms, with one- and two-bedroom layouts will come with the option of a den. On the top floor will offer additional amenities such as a lounge and a rooftop pool.
Designed by NORR Architects, the building features a curtain wall facade, with dark metal and glass elements already beginning to make their way up the exterior. The massing of the building consists of two rectangular volumes, with the residential section is set back from the podium.
Parking facilities at The Saint Grand will provide 106 on-site parking spaces and 102 bike spaces. Within a three-minute walk, public transport options include CTA bus lines such as Routes 2, 3, 26, 66, 120, 121, 143, 136, and 147. The Red Line is also available via a six-minute walk to Grand Station.
Lendlease is the general contractor, while Goebel Forming is the concrete contractor. A completion and move-ins are expected by 2024.

I’ve seen considerably worse.
The comments section of Chicago Yimby is most enjoyable.
CHICAGO NEEDS A SUPERTALL TOWER LETS GOOOOO I’M TIRED OF CHICAGO BEING THE SECOND CITY, IF YOU BUILD IT,THEY WILL COME
Now keep adding residential infill in River North and the Loop. Chicago needs to lead the pivot away from office commercial only districts. Remote work is slowly going the way of the dodo at the major employers, but even before covid the office only loop felt deserted outside of business hours. 90% of other cities have it worse as Chicago has a large tourism presence on off hours.
Much better than the parking garage that was there.
Saint Grand is an important infill for this area of Streeterville. Looks great in person, too. I’d love to see the parking lot at Grand/Fairbanks get built up as well.
