Developer Red Van Construction has received a permit for a residential project at 4242 S Champlain Avenue in Grand Boulevard. The development plan includes a two-story townhouse with two individual units, a pair of wooden decks, and a garage at the rear of the plot. Currently, the site is home to a vacant grass patch of land.
Two garages at the rear will house a combined five cars. Numerous nearby bus services include stops for Route 43 within a one-minute walk south, as well as Routes 3 and 4 within a 10-minute walking radius. The CTA L service for the Green Line is available within a 10-minute walk west to 43rd station.
The project’s architecture is managed by Charles E Schwartz, with Keany Construction Inc as the general contractor. The reported construction cost stands at $700,000, according to the filing. An estimated completion date is currently unknown.
