The construction of a seven-story mixed-use building at 812 W Adams Street in the West Loop continues advancing. As structural work reaches the top floor, this project by Luxe Suites Chicago continues to fill out its designated footprint, which spans a full block east-to-west. Upon completion, this new mid rise will offer 80 rental apartments and 4,200 square feet of retail space.
The building has been designed by Axios Architects and Consultants, with the design featuring a multi-shade masonry cladding, bay window protrusions, and glass and metal cantilevered balconies.
In terms of transportation and parking, the building will provide 27 on-site parking spaces, with additional public options in the vicinity. The closest bus service is available for Route 8 both one block to the north and to the south Route 20 is also close by, with its closest stops. Routes 20 and 126 are also in the vicinity, with stops two blocks north and south, respectively. For rail, the UIC-Halsted station for CTA Blue Line transit is situated seven-minute walk south of the building, while Morgan station can be found for the Green and Pink Lines via a 14-minute walk northwest.
Structures Construction LLC is leading the work as general contractor. Construction is expected to wrap up during the latter half of this year.
