New permits have been issued for a four-story residential building to be located at 714 W Aldine Avenue in Lake View East near Boystown. The owner is listed under 712-714 Aldine, LLC. The permit lists Michael S Cox as the architect of record. No plans or renderings have been made public, however, the permit indicates that this will be a masonry build with a total of six units. The building will include both a basement and a roof deck. The property will include a detached six-vehicle garage with a flat roof and a six-foot-tall wrought iron fence around the property.
Future residents will find bus service for CTA Route 8 readily boardable at the Halsted & Aldine stop via a two-minute walk west. For commuting purposes, the nearest L station is Belmont where the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines can be accessed. The station is a nine-minute walk southwest of the property site. There are many restaurants and nightlife options nearby along N Halstead Avenue.
McNea & Sons Construction will be serving as the contractor for the $1.6 million build. A timeline for completion has yet to be announced.
