A permit was approved early this week for a new three-story residential building at 2707 W Washington Boulevard in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. The owner is listed as KPG Chicago LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield three total dwelling units with an open rear staircase. The project will also feature a three-vehicle parking pad at the rear. The lot is currently vacant.
Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed. Per permits, there are masonry contractors involved in the project suggesting brickwork throughout.
The closest bus service available is Route 94 and can be found at California & Washington via a two-minute walk west. For those looking to access transit via the CTA L, they will find the Green Line at the California station via a four-minute walk north. There are a number of retail and dining options along W Washington Boulevard.
Metropole Holdings LLC will act as the general contractor for the $380,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
