A demolition permit was issued on Monday for a two-story frame multi-unit residence along with a detached frame garage located at 1534 W Melrose Street in the Lake View neighborhood. As of this writing, no permits have been filed for a future build.
The nearest transportation service is bus service for Routes 9 and 9x at the intersection of Ashland & Belmont/Lincoln via a one-minute walk west. The nearest CTA Brown Line access is at Southport station via a nine-minute walk northeast. There are a number of popular restaurants and retail options along N Ashland Avenue and N Southport Avenue.
Taylor Excavating and Construction Inc will be serving as the demolition contractor on this project. An estimated completion date has not yet been announced.
