A permit was approved last week for a new two-story residential building at 1049 N Lawler Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. The owner of the permit is listed as GT Alternatives LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will produce two units. This will be a masonry build with a front staircase and accompanying wooden decks for both levels at the rear. The permit also specifies a detached two-car garage along with one outdoor parking spot will be included in the build. The lot is currently vacant.
Stern Group Architects is listed as the architect of record. As of yet, drawings and renderings have not been disclosed.
This property is well within walking distance of a number of restaurants and local businesses along W Division Street. The closest bus service will be Route 57, which can be found via a five-minute walk west at the Laramie & Thomas stop.
GT Alternatives LLC is also acting as the general contractor for the $250,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
