A permit was approved on yesterday for a new three-story residential building to be located at 4105 S Prairie Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. The owner is listed as James Nahon and plans indicate this project will yield three total units, each with a rear open porch. The permits include a detached three-car garage. The development will replace a vacant lot and joins two other planned projects of the same scope on the same lot. We previously reported on these additional projects last year.
Gary Wands of Door Thirteen Architects is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been disclosed.
The closest bus service available is Route 39 and can be found at Indiana & 41st Street via a three-minute walk west. The CTA Green Line can also be accessed nearby at the Indiana station via a five-minute walk northwest. There are many retail, dining, and lodging options located within walking distance along S Michigan Avenue.
Allbright Construction LLC will act as the general contractor for the $450,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
