The narrow site lies between older masonry townhomes to the south, and additional empty property to the north. The closest park access is the modern Hadiya Pendleton Park that splits S Calumet Avenue, a seven-minute walk northeast. Armstrong (Lillian Hardin) Park can also be found via 12-minute walk east.

There are are four bus routes within a six-minute walk of the property, including Route 43’s 43rd Street & Indiana stop to the north, Route 3’s King Drive & 45th Street stop to the east, Route 47’s 47th Street & Indiana stop to the south, and Route 29’s State & 45th Street stop to the west. There are also two nearby CTA L stations, including an eight-minute walk northeast to the Green Line’s 43rd station, as well as a six-minute walk southeast to 47th station, also on the Green Line.

The site owner, Henry M. Keane, is planning three units within the development, as well as a detached garage that will likely house three spaces.

The architect of record is listed as Michael J. Leary of MJL Architect. Leary’s renderings have not yet been revealed however.

Keane Contractors will serve as the general contractor for the project, which is expected to cost $550,000. No information regarding the completion date has been released.
