A permit was issued on Friday for a three-story residential building with masonry facade at 6523 S Minerva Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The proposed project’s owner is listed as GA Roslyn LLC 6523 S. Minerva. The scope of the project indicates that there will be three total dwelling units. The first-floor unit will be duplexed with a basement. There will be a rooftop stair enclosure, a rear staircase, and a detached three-car framed garage. The lot is currently vacant.
Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, as previously stated we do know that a masonry exterior is anticipated.
The CTA Green Line can be accessed at the Cottage Grove station via a 15-minute walk northwest. The nearest bus available is Route 4 and it can be found at the Cottage Grove & Marquette Road stop via an 11-minute walk southwest. There are a number of grocery and dining options available within a five-minute walk.
DTA Group Inc will act as the general contractor for the $300,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
