Structural work has reached its full height for a three-story residential building at 2820 W Lyndale Street in Logan Square. Prior to construction, the site was occupied by two frame residences that were demolished between 2017 and 2019.
Owned by 2820 Lyndale Real Estate LLC and located just west of the CTA L tracks, the structure will yield seven total units. Other project components include a rooftop deck and enclosure, an open metal staircase on the west elevation, and open terrace areas on the first and second floors.
Craft Architecture is behind the design. Since no drawings or renderings could be located, the final look of the facade has yet to be revealed. Current progress also shows that the first floor will be slightly elevated to accommodate a fourth partial basement level.
Closest transit can be found for the CTA L Blue Line at California station, located within a minute walk southeast. Also nearby is bus service for Routes 56 and 94, both of which are available via a two-minute walk northeast to Milwaukee & California. Those looking for Route 74 will find stops slightly further via a seven-minute walk north to Fullerton & California.
Galileo Construction Group is serving as general contractor. No completion or move-in date has been announced.
