Filed under the owner name 2141 W Belmont LLC, the project will house a total of three dwellings. In addition, the new development will feature a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a rear full-height porch, and a basement. Parking will comprise of a three-car detached garage topped with a separate rooftop deck. The property was formerly occupied by a two-floor frame residence.
John Hanna of Hanna Architects is listed as the architect of record. While no drawings or renderings have yet been revealed, multiple masonry contractors in the filing may indicate a brick or stone exterior.
As far as bus transit, residents will find nearby east and westbound stops for Route 77, available at the Belmont & Leavitt intersection less than a one-minute walk west. Further bus service within a 10-minute walking radius consists of Route 50 to the east and Routes 49 and X49 to the west. Meanwhile, CTA L service is comprised of Paulina station, situated an 18-minute walk northeast.
Park space in the vicinity includes Fellger Park available via a five-minute walk east, as well as the nine-acre Hamlin Park via a four-minute walk southeast.
Vam Development Inc is the general contractor for the $1,151,300 development. An anticipated completion date is not yet known.
