Renovation permits have been issued to convert a three-story residential building from four to five total units. Located at 2623 N Kimball Avenue in Logan Square, the occupying owner, Matthew Cremins, also plans to build out the building’s basement floor into a living space that will connect to the first-floor unit. It is unclear which floor the new unit will occupy, or how the interior will be partitioned in order to accommodate the new residence.
Jung Mo is listed as the architect of record for the conversion. No exterior work or alterations to the stone facade appear to be included in the scope.
Nearest north and southbound buses can be found for Route 82, less than a minute walk south to the intersection of Kimball & Wrightwood. Additional buses for Routes 56 and 76 can also be found at the three-point intersection of Kimball, Diversey, & Milwaukee, a four-minute walk north. Meanwhile, Blue Line CTA L service is available at Logan Square station via a seven-minute walk east. Lastly, Metra can be boarded at Healy station via a 23-minute walk southwest.
As far as green space, Unity Park is situated within a minute’s walk north, and includes a mix of open green space and playground areas.
Build Brand Development LLC is the general contractor behind the redevelopment. An anticipated completion date for the work was not listed.
