Exteriors are nearing completion for the new residential development from the Hispanic Housing Development Corporation at 1237 North California Avenue in Humboldt Park. Construction on the six-story, 40-unit development has been underway since August 2024.

Masonry work on the building looks to be done, and all the windows have been installed. Crews from general contractor Path Construction are laying block at the rear entrance off the alley, while interior details are addressed.

DesignBridge created the plans for the development, which is located right across the street from the 200-acre Alexander von Humboldt Park and its vast array of outdoor activities, boat house, lagoons, and inland beach.  The project will include 14 parking spaces on the first floor, plus an additional seven off-street parking spots at the alley. Resident amenities include bicycle storage, a laundry room, a community room, a business center, office spaces, a conference room, and a welcoming lobby.
