A second permit has been approved to expand a residential building at 3641 North Wilton Avenue in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. The later permit, issued October 14, allows for the construction of a three-car garage with a second-story Additional Dwelling Unit on the alley at the rear of the property. Showing an application date of September 26, the permission came through with a reported cost of $115,000.

On September 15 of this year, a permit was issued that authorized a rear three-story addition to the existing three-unit residence at the front of the lot, at a reported cost of $320,000. That permit included internal renovations, lowering the basement, building new rear decks at the second and third levels, and replacing the existing frame garage with a concrete parking pad. That concrete pad will now hold the new garage and ADU instead of surface parking spaces.

God bless the re-habbers restoring these gorgeous old ladies, instead of just ripping them down like so many other builders in town.
Love to see the rehab instead of demolition
