Three Units Nearing Completion At 2841 North Southport Avenue In Lake View

A three-unit residential building at 2841 North Southport Avenue is getting closer to delivery in the Lake View neighborhood. Brick work is starting to make its way up the front facade as Bachula Development continues their progress on the topped-out four-story structure.

360 Design Studio is the architect of record for the project, which includes a basement and a rooftop deck. The three units will be condominiums, featuring a duplex-up with private access to the roof deck, a duplex-down to include the basement level, and a simplex condo on the second floor. Real estate listings have the three units priced from $975,000 to $1.9 million.

The new construction permit, issued April 9 of last year, calls for rear decks and a connecting stairway on the first three levels, plus a private roof deck for the fourth floor. A detached three-car garage at the rear of the property hasn’t begun construction yet, as the crew continues to move materials onto the site from the alley. Once it begins, the garage will get a rooftop deck of its own.

Residents of 2841 North Southport Avenue will live within a two-block walk of CTA bus service via Route 76 to the south at Diversey Parkway, and Routes 9 and X9 to the west at Ashland Avenue. The nearest elevated train is the Diversey Brown/Purple Line platform just over half a mile to the east; the Diversey bus can be used as a connection to the train.
