The City of Chicago has issued a new construction permit for the property at 2622 West Adams Street in the Garfield Park neighborhood. With an application date of November 7, 2024 and release date of February 20, the permit allows for a three-story, three-unit structure to be built on a long-vacant lot.

The developer is listed as an LLC registered in Orland Park. Charles Schwartz is the architect of record, and JC AC Contractors is named as the general contractor. Details of the property include a concrete patio in the rear yard, with decks on the second and third floors connected by a stairway. No garage is included; instead, there will be three parking spaces on a concrete pad accessed from the alley at the back of the property. The permit estimates construction costs at $400,000. It is not clear if these will be rental homes, or for-sale condos.
