A new construction permit has been issued for a three-story, six-unit residential building at 3950 South Indiana Avenue in Bronzeville. The permit, which was applied for on December 6 and issued on December 27, took 21 days to process.
When complete, the building will feature a basement, rear porch, front terrace at the first story, and rear balconies on the second and third stories. Three exterior parking spaces on a concrete pad are also included in the plans.
Construction is estimated to cost $1,350,795. Permit fees total $11,831.38, with $1,800 already paid and $10,031.38 remaining unpaid. The fees include $6,574.38 for building permits, $1,500 for zoning, and $3,757 for other fees. Plans were self-certified by architect John Hanna.
