A new permit has been issued for the construction of a new 4-story, 3-unit residence with a basement, rear elevated patio, and a 2-car garage at 1145 West 17th Street in Pilsen. Plans were designed by architect Michael Leary.
The project, owned by Carolina & Evan’s Dream House LLC, received a zoning amendment to change the zoning district from RT-4 to RT-4.5 and reduce the required side setbacks. The amendment was approved on March 26.
The total fee for the permit is $4,178.00, with $375.00 paid so far and $3,803.00 remaining unpaid. The reported cost of the project is $1,000,000.00.
When complete, the property will be a short walk from the Halsted Street/University of Illinois-Chicago Metra Station, which services the BNSF Railway Train.
