A permit for renovation and alteration has been issued for an existing three-story two-flat building without a basement at 5937 North Fairfield Avenue in Arcadia Terrace. The permit was issued on August 30, following a 123-day standard plan review process that began on April 29.
The project involves interior alterations to establish an Accessory Dwelling Unit conversion unit on the ground floor, as per the plans. Exterior alterations are limited to window infills at each level of the north elevation. The permit is conditional and subject to field inspections.
Plans were designed by architect Andrew Wang. The property is a short walk from bus stops for Routes 84 and 93.
The total fee for the permit is $2,591.60, which has been fully paid. The reported cost of the project is $380,000.
