A new construction permit has been issued for a four-story, mixed-use building at 2248 West North Avenue in Wicker Park. The permit was issued on August 27, following a 91-day self-certification process that began on May 28.
The building will feature three dwelling units, a first-floor office, and a two-vehicle garage at the first-floor level. A detached one-vehicle garage with a rooftop deck will also be constructed. Additional features include front balconies on the second, third, and fourth stories, a rooftop deck, and a rooftop stair enclosure.
The total fee for the permit is $10,176.34, which has been fully paid. The reported cost of the project is $1,559,682.00. The architect behind project designs is John Hanna.

Absolutely love humble infill buildings filling in properties that have sat empty for a long time. These are the unsung heroes that get overlooked by towers and tower cranes.
