New Building Underway At 3992 South Lake Park Avenue In Oakland

A permit for new construction has been issued for a property located at 3992 South Lake Park Avenue in Oakland. The permit, which was applied for on April 30 and issued on July 30, allows for the erection of a three-story, six-unit residential building with four open parking spaces.
The total fee for the permit is $8,140.35, with $3,814.35 paid towards building fees, $570 towards zoning fees, and $3,756 towards other fees. The reported cost of the project is $1,531,800. The building will be self-certified by architect Helen Liptak.
When complete, 3992 South Lake Park Avenue will be located within walking distance of stops from stations servicing the Green Line and the Metra Electric District Train.

  1. Well look at that. Private developer brings in a building at $250,000 a unit. Meanwhile, city sponsored projects run from a minimum of $600,000 up to $1.1m a unit.
