A permit for renovation and alteration has been issued for an existing six-story, 60-unit senior residential building located at 8915 South Loomis Street in Brainerd. The permit, which was applied for on January 12 and issued on July 19, is being processed through the Direct Developer Services program.
The owner of the property is Brainerd Senior Preservation LP, based in Chicago. They are working with local architect John Clark. The total fee for the permit was $54,745.19, with $52,820.19 paid towards building fees and $1,925 paid towards zoning fees. The reported total cost of the project is $4,990,000.
8915 South Loomis Street is located steps from the Brainerd Metra Station, which services the Rock Island District Train. It is also a short walk from a number of bus lines, including Routes 9 and 87.
