The City of Chicago has issued a standard plan review permit for the construction of a foundations-only rear four-story, three-dwelling unit addition with a garage on the ground floor for six parking spaces at 6212 North Winthrop Avenue in Edgewater. The permit, which was applied for on May 8 and issued on July 12, is part of a larger project that will convert the existing building from eight to 11 dwelling units, as per the architectural plans.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $35,000, with permit fees totaling $3,745. This includes a building fee of $850, a zoning fee of $75, and other fees amounting to $2,820. The applicant paid an initial fee of $375, with the remaining $3,370 still unpaid.
The owner of the property is 6212 N Winthrop Corp, located in Palos Park, Illinois. Plans were designed by architect Jorge Fajardo. The property is a short walk from the Granville CTA station, which services the Red Line.
