A permit for interior renovation and alteration has been issued for an existing three-story brick multi-unit building located at 652 East 81st Street in Chatham. The building, which contains 13 dwelling units and a basement, will undergo interior renovations to four units on the east side of the building.

The renovation work will include replacement of floor joists, as well as updates to the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems according to the approved plans. The permit resolves an existing building violation. The owner of the building is Matt Janko, and plans were designed by architect Carlos Pina.

The permit was issued on June 4, with a total processing time of 72 days. The reported cost of the project is $39,400. Permit fees totaled $7,250.89, with $350.00 paid upfront and the remaining $6,900.89 unpaid at the time of issuance.
