Foundation Permits Issued For Health Center In Lawndale

The Lawndale Christian Health Center in recently received construction permits for the foundation of a new three-story health center at 3806 West Ogden Avenue in Lawndale. This phase of the new health center, which has a budget of $35,648, will be the first material stage of construction and bring the development one step closer to completion.

Local architect Arden Freeman is listed as the architect of record for the permits. Construction for this phase will lay the base for the steel frame construction structure. Ujamaa Construction Inc, a Chicago-based firm, will lead the general construction for this phase.

When complete, the health center at 3806 West Ogden Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Routes 21 and 157. Beyond that, the Pulaski and Central Park CTA Stations, which both service the Pink Line, will each be a short walk from the property, to the northwest and northeast respectively.
