A new residential project has been approved at 2425 West Cortez Street in Humboldt Park, with the issuing of permits on March 22. The development, which is being spearheaded by owner Johan Khalilian, will entail the construction of a two-story frame building with a basement that will boast two dwelling units and a detached two-vehicle masonry garage. The project’s estimated budget is $495,000.
Plans have been designed by local architect Victor Drapszo. Revolution Home Remodeling Inc, a general contractor from Chicago, is in charge of executing Victor’s plans. Masonry work will be managed by DOM Properties Investment.
When complete, 2425 West Cortez Street will be located a short walk from bus service for Routes 49 and 70. Beyond that, the Western Avenue Metra Station, which services the MD North and West Line Trains along with the North Central Service Train, along with the Damen CTA Station, which services the Blue line, will each be approximately a 20-minute walk from the property.
