A renovation is underway at 5763 South La Salle Street in Englewood. The project, which has a budget of approximately $80,000, seeks to modernize the two-story, two-unit residence at the address. Permits for the project were issued on February 20.
Work for the renovation will include a wide range of updates and repairs to the building’s interior. In addition, the project plans to introduce a rear porch and restore the property’s existing concrete front porch.
Structural engineer Luis Arenzana is in charge of the design for the building’s upgrade and new exterior components. Christopher Triplett is the general contractor and will be in charge of construction efforts.
5763 South La Salle Street is located steps from bus service for Routes 24 and 59. Beyond that, the Garfield CTA Station, which services the Red Line, is a 13 minute walk to the north of the property.

I would have considered that Washington Park or west Woodlawn.
It looks like that building is going to need more than $80,000 to modernize it, but I appreciate the investment regardless.
