The City of Chicago has issued approval for a renovation at 3658 W Cortland Street in Logan Square, where a two-flat residence is undergoing interior upgrades. The proposal, which was submitted on December 1, 2023, was approved on February 13. The project’s budget is estimated to be $80,000.
Plans focus on several key areas to refresh the building’s interior. A new cabinet layout is being introduced to kitchens to create more efficient and visually appealing cooking spaces for residents. Additionally, the project plans to relocate bathrooms and remove non-load-bearing walls. Winston El Dante is spearheading the design of the renovation, and Apanco’s Construction Company Inc will serve as the general contractor for construction.
3658 W Cortland Street is a short walk from bus service for Routes 73 and 82. Beyond that, the Healy Metra Station, which services the MD North Line Train, is a 24-minute walk to the north-west of the property.
