The City of Chicago has issued construction permits for a new four-story residential building located at 1620 West Grand Avenue in West Town. The project, which is being developed by 1301 Investments LLC, was approved on February 27 and has an estimated budget of $2,409,150.
The property, which has been designed by Bill Kokalias, will house eight dwelling units when complete. It plans to feature two three-vehicle and one two-vehicle detached masonry garages.
Construction tasks will be led by Bachula Development Inc, which will work alongside specialized contractors for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
1620 W Grand Avenue is located steps from bus service for Routes X9, 9, and 65. Beyond that, the Ashland CTA Station, which services the Pink and Green Lines, is located a ten-minute walk to the south of the property.
