Construction permits have been issued for a new residential building at 1103 North Lawndale Avenue in Humboldt Park. Approved on February 14, the building will feature two stories plus a basement, and comprise of two dwelling units.
Designed by Chicago-based architect Peter Sterniuk, the project has an estimated budget of $280,000. At the rear of the building, a two-story wood deck will provide residents with private outdoor space. The property will also feature a detached two-vehicle garage.
GT Alternatives LLC is listed as the project’s owner and general contractor, and thus will spearhead construction efforts. They will work in collaboration with DS Construction Inc and MKS Masonry, who are named as the masonry contractors in permit filings.
When complete, 1103 North Lawndale Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Routes 65 and 70. Beyond that, the Kedzie Metra Station, which services the UP West Line District Train, will be a 30-minute walk to the south-east of the property.
