The construction permit has been updated for an in-progress three-story apartment building located at 2219 W Foster Avenue in Ravenswood. The update outlines plans to add a private roof deck to the property. Changes were approved on February 6, adding an additional $15,000 to the project’s original $800,000 budget.
The development is owned by 2219 Foster LLC, and original construction permits were issued in late 2022. Michael S Cox, who designed the original project, is also in charge of the design of the roof deck.
Construction work is being carried out by Healy Carpentry LLC, a Chicago-based general contractor. Gentoo Inc, also based in Chicago, expedited the permit process.
2219 W Foster Avenue is located steps from bus service for Routes 49, 49B, X49, and 92. Beyond that, the Western CTA station, which services the Brown Line, will be a 20-minute walk to the south of the property.
