A renovation project has been approved for a two-story masonry building at 3707 N Sacramento Avenue in Irving Park. The project, which was submitted on September 6, was approved on December 20, following a 105-day construction period.

A key aspect of the project is the conversion of the building from two dwelling units to three. On the exterior, the renovation plans to install a new rear metal balcony, and replace the existing rear enclosed porch.

Hemal Purohit of Purohit Architects Inc is leading the architectural design of the renovation. SVB Development Inc will serve as the general contractor. The project is being led by owner Odilon Rodriguez-Silva.

The project’s estimated budget is $600,000. 3707 N Sacramento Avenue is located steps from bus service for Route 152, with stops for Routes 80 and 82 via an eight-minute walk to the north and a 14-minute walk to the west, respectively. Beyond that, the Addison CTA station, which services the Blue Line, via a 20-minute walk to the west of the property.
