A renovation project is underway at 1219 W Winnemac Avenue in Uptown. This project was approved on December 18, after a 35-day review period.

The renovation plans describe a comprehensive remodel of the existing two-story, masonry, two-unit residential building. The project encompasses the structural repair of the basement, the replacement of the front exterior stairs, and the replacement of the parking pad.

Architect Samuel Pavlovcik from Chicago is overseeing the design of the project. The general contractor for the project is Michel Kevorkian, also from Chicago. The project’s budge is $190,000.

1219 W Winnemac Avenue is located steps from bus service for Route 36, with stops for Route 151 an eight-minute walk to the east and stops for Route 22 via a nine-minute walk to the west. Beyond that, the Argyle CTA Station, which services the Red Line, is a five-minute walk to the northeast of the property.
