Construction permits have been issued for a new four-story residential building at 4744 S Michigan Avenue in Bronzeville. The project, submitted on November 9, was approved on December 15, after a relatively quick 36-day review period.
The project, which is being developed by 4746 Michigan LLC, has a budget of $1,788,541. It is planned to house eight dwelling units along with a basement. Architect John Hanna, based in Chicago, is overseeing the design of the project. 4 Star Builders Inc, also from Chicago, is the general contractor for the project. Masonry work is being carried out by B&K Concrete 01 from Orland Park, IL, and BM Builders Group, Inc from Park Ridge, IL.
When complete, 4744 S Michigan Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Route 47. Beyond that, the 47th CTA station, which services the Green Line, will be located a six-minute walk to the east from the property.
