A renovation project is underway at a two-story, two-unit masonry building located at 3732 S Calumet Avenue in Bronzeville. Submitted on December 4, this project was approved in just 15 days on December 19.
With a budget of $75,000, the primary focus of the renovation is to create a new duplex unit, which will extend from the first floor to the basement of the existing structure. Beyond that, the renovation will include the replacement of interior finishes throughout the building and upgrades to the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Bryan Hudson is leading the architectural aspects of the renovation. Richard’s Way Construction LLC will serve as the general contractor for the project. Tasha Davis, the owner of the property, is driving the renovation effort.
3732 S Calumet Avenue is located steps from stops for the 3 bus line, with stops for the 4 and 35 bus lines an 8 minute walk to the north of the property. Beyond that, the Indiana CTA Station, which services the Green Line, is an 11 minute walk to the southwest of the property.
