Construction permits have been issued for a new three-story building at 4337 N Richmond Street in Irving Park. Permits were issued on December 22 under the self-certification program of the 2019 Chicago Building Code.

The project, with an estimated budget of $1,250,000, plans to house six dwelling units. When complete, it will offer a rooftop feature and rear steel stairs and metal decks on the second and third floors, with a first-floor rear porch, as well as two detached private garages with a total capacity for six vehicles.

Architect Christopher Bremer is leading the architectural design of this project, and Vivi Development has been appointed as the general contractor. Masonry work is being carried out by Duraan Concrete and Petro Pariychuk. The project is owned by Gary Carlson.

When complete, 4337 N Richmond Street will be located steps from bus service for Route 78. Beyond that, the Francisco CTA station, which services the Brown Line, will be a 10-minute walk to the north of the property.

  1. I’m confused, has the multi-family building featured in the streetview pic been razed to make way for this project? I hope not.

    • Oh, that’s right! I just google the address. This property apparently caught on fire and subsequently burned down the neighboring commercial structure too. That’s a crazy property / story.
